The Iron Factory is the vision developed by Lora Allen of allendance. We work to support the challenging and experimental work of performance artists with on-going classes, performances, and artist opportunities. The Iron Factory strives to play a unique role in the cultural life of Philadelphia by bringing our audience a diverse range of programming and providing a supportive, cutting edge environment in which performers, teachers, students, and choreographers can take risks and gain valuable professional experience.

With affordable rates and a commitment to advancing the Philadelphia performing arts community, the studio space is a vital forum for the development and exchange of movement ideas. The Iron Factory's schedule includes artist residencies, weekly technique classes, presenting opportunities, and performances that provide critical exposure for emerging artists.
