Residency Rates


The Iron Factory offers five- and three-day residencies for individual artists and companies – up to four people – as well as nightly stays with pay-by-the-hour studio access. These residencies are open to both local and visiting artists. To inquire about a residency, please email mail@theironfactory.org. For information about our free residencies for chosen applicants, see our Visiting Artist Residency applications.

*NOTE: We do allow performances, classes, or showings during these residencies If you are interested performing, filming, or holding an event during a residency, please contact us to arrange.

Five-Day Residency
Includes daily access to our studio from 8am-5pm, and a stay in our spacious loft located just beneath the studio. The cost for this residency option is $575. *The cost is $475 without loft residence.

Three-Day Residency
Includes daily access to our studio from 8am on the first day until 5pm the third day, and a two night stay in our spacious loft located just beneath the studio. The cost for this residency option is $275. *The cost is $225 without loft residence.

Nightly Stays
For artists just looking to stay over in the loft, the nightly rate is $50 per person/group. This option excludes studio access, though the studio can be booked at $12/hour. Email mail@theironfactory.org to reserve.

About the Loft
The Iron Factory's 2nd floor loft is a shared space with a resident artist and her friendly dog, Archer. The loft includes:

Three beds: one queen, two fulls
Two aero beds upon request: one queen, one full
Linens: sheets, towels, blankets, pillows
Full kitchen with cooking essentials (meals not provided)
Full bathroom with toiletries and hair dryer
Laundry area with washer/dryer, detergent, iron/steamer
Living room with TV / Roku
WiFi
AC / heat


The Iron Factory is conveniently located a few blocks from the Market-Frankford Line (Berks Station), which provides access to Center City and West Philadelphia. The space is also a short walk to popular restaurants and shops in Fishtown.

About the Studio
The studio space was formerly the top floor of an early 1900's factory. With its exposed brick walls and natural light, the studio offers a rich architectural interior for any artist looking to find a warm and nurturing creative space. The studio includes:

2,000 square feet
Marley flooring
AC / heat
WiFi
Outlets
Restroom
iPod / laptop hook-up cord with speakers
Creative and moveable audience seating
